The Urban Intersection (TUI)

TUI is essentially about observing & referencing how various urban technologies develop and expand through the years. (This blog is semi-dormant at times.)
It's also about exploring and comparing urban science & fiction throughout the world & beyond. http://www.technovelgy.com

An urban technology_center can become quite a big draw for all kinds of people and technologies.

NYC really started to embrace the skyscraper by the early 20th century.

Eventually not just short and wide buildings, but office towers became hubs for telephones and eventually computers...

The Empire State Building

Back in 1931 the idea of any building over a 100 stories was a new reality, even in NYC.

Less than a century later, the world has several building that are taller than the ESB.
